Information processed on your device

To provide reminders, Nudgekin stores the settings you choose, including:

• which reminder types are enabled;
• reminder intervals, daily times, active hours, snooze periods, and the next scheduled reminder time;
• whether reminders are paused, sound is enabled, or Start with Windows is enabled; and
• any custom reminder title or message you enter.

These settings may reflect health-related preferences, such as choosing a medication, hydration, meal, movement, or other wellness reminder. Nudgekin uses this information only on your device to schedule and display the reminders you request.

Nudgekin does not request or store your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, payment information, medical records, diagnoses, medication names, dosages, or a history of completed reminders. Please do not put sensitive personal or medical details in a custom reminder title or message.

Local storage

Reminder settings are stored in a local settings file at:

%LOCALAPPDATA%\SipSidekick\settings.json

The local storage folder retains Nudgekin's original internal name, SipSidekick, for compatibility.

If you enable Start with Windows, the Microsoft Store package asks Windows to enable Nudgekin's declared startup task. An unpackaged installation uses the current Windows user's standard startup registry entry instead. You can disable either form from Nudgekin. Windows also lets you manage the packaged startup task from Settings > Apps > Startup.

The settings file is readable JSON and is not separately encrypted by Nudgekin. Access is governed by your Windows account, device security, and file-system permissions. Keep Windows updated, use a protected Windows account, and avoid entering sensitive information in custom reminders.

Network access and disclosure

The current version of Nudgekin does not transmit your settings or other personal information over the internet. The publisher does not receive or keep a server copy of your settings.

Nudgekin does not disclose your information to advertising networks, data brokers, analytics providers, or other third parties. Information may be disclosed only if you choose to share it yourself, or if disclosure is required by applicable law and the publisher has information responsive to the request. Because Nudgekin does not receive your locally stored settings, the publisher normally has no such information to disclose.

Your choices and controls

You can review and change reminder settings from Nudgekin's settings window. You can disable individual reminders, pause all reminders, disable sound, or turn off Start with Windows.

To delete all locally stored Nudgekin settings:

1. Exit Nudgekin from its system-tray menu.
2. Delete %LOCALAPPDATA%\SipSidekick\settings.json, or delete the %LOCALAPPDATA%\SipSidekick folder.

If Nudgekin is opened again, it will create a new settings file containing default settings. Uninstalling Nudgekin may not remove the local settings file, so you may delete it manually if you want to ensure its removal.

Nudgekin has no user account and keeps no cloud copy, so there is no server-side account or reminder data to access, export, or delete.

Children's privacy

Nudgekin is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if Nudgekin's features or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will show when the policy was last updated. Material changes will be disclosed in the app or through another appropriate notice when required.
