Once there was a woodcutter named Raj who lived in a small village. 'I need to get wood for winter,' he said. 'I'll go to the river where there's a big tree.'

One day, Raj went to the river where a big tree stood. 'This tree will give me enough wood for winter,' he thought.

As Raj chopped the tree, his axe fell into the river. 'Oh no! My axe! What will I do?' Raj cried.

Raj was very sad because he couldn't buy a new axe. He sat by the river and cried. 'How will I get another axe? I don't have money,' he said.

Suddenly, a river fairy named Sarita appeared. 'Why are you crying?' she asked. 'I dropped my only axe in the river,' Raj said.

Sarita went into the river and came back with a golden axe. 'Is this your axe?' she asked. 'No, that's not mine,' Raj replied.

Then, Sarita showed him a silver axe. 'Is this your axe?' she asked again. 'No, that's not mine either,' Raj said.

Finally, Sarita showed him an iron axe. 'Is this your axe?' she asked. 'Yes, this is mine!' Raj said happily.

Sarita smiled and said, 'You are honest. Because you told the truth, you can keep all three axes—the golden, the silver, and your iron one.'

Sarita blessed him, and he went home with all three axes. 'Thank you, Sarita! I will always remember this,' Raj said happily.

The lesson is: Being honest is the best! So always tell the truth, like Raj did.
