In sunny Africa, under a huge baobab tree, lived Leo the lion cub. He loved games and questions. One morning he asked, 'Papa, when will I roar like you?'

Papa Lumo chuckled. His thunder-roar shook leaves and sent birds flapping. Leo's eyes grew wide with wonder.

'Roaring takes time,' Papa said softly. 'A strong roar comes from inside your heart, not just your throat.' Leo tapped his belly and giggled, 'Is it hiding in there?'

Papa nudged him. 'Courage, kindness, and the right moment make a real roar.' Leo didn't fully get it, but he promised to practise every day.

So Leo tried. He roared at butterflies, clouds, and his river reflection. Each time only a squeaky 'raaah!' popped out, making frogs laugh.

Monkeys giggled, elephants smiled kindly, and tortoises said, 'Be patient.' That night Leo felt tiny. 'Maybe I'll never roar big like Papa,' he sighed.

Days later, walking through tall grass, Leo heard a faint squeak. He froze and listened. 'Papa, did you hear that sound in the bush?'

Inside prickly thorns trembled a little meerkat with a stuck paw. 'Oh no, it's hurt!' Leo gasped, his heart thumping.

Papa tried to help, but his big paws couldn't reach without scratching. The meerkat shook with fear. Leo took a breath. 'I'm small. I can try!'

Carefully, Leo nibbled thorns and freed the paw. Suddenly a hawk's shadow swept over them. The meerkat was too weak to run. Danger was close!

Leo's knees wobbled, yet he stood tall. Filling his heart with courage, he let out his loudest sound: 'RAAAHHH!' It wasn't huge, but it was brave and true.

Startled, the hawk flew away. Papa's eyes shone. 'That, my cub, was a real roar,' he said, nuzzling Leo proudly.

Leo learned that the best roar is not the loudest; it comes from love and bravery, especially when helping a friend.

Each sunset, two roars echo over the savannah—one big and booming, one small and growing stronger every day.
