Mika Monkey loved to swing. She zoomed along green vines and strong branches. Her brown fur fluffed and shimmered in the warm jungle breeze.

'Look at me!' Mika squealed. 'I'm the quickest swinger in the jungle!' Her friends clapped and giggled. Mika beamed. She loved showing her special moves.

One bright morning the little animals met by a tall fig tree. Mika bounced in place. 'Watch this!' she giggled, ready for a brand-new trick.

She caught one vine, then another. Swing! Whoosh! Flip! Baby parrots chirped with delight. Rabbits stared wide-eyed. Even old Turtle lifted his head.

Mika puffed her chest. 'Now for my biggest trick!' she shouted. She leaped high, spinning like a leaf in the wind.

Uh-oh! Mika's tail twisted around a curly vine. 'Too tight!' she squeaked. She froze in mid-air, arms dangling, legs kicking. Her tail was stuck in a hard knot. 'Oh no!'

Friends looked up. 'Mika, is that a new trick?' asked a rabbit. Mika blushed. 'No,' she murmured, 'I'm just… stuck.' Moments ago she was a star; now she felt shy.

Mika hung upside down. She wiggled left, then right, but the vine hugged tight. Her tummy flipped. 'What if I can't get free?' she whispered, wishing she could fix it alone.

Lila Lemur hurried over. 'Mika, do you want help?' she asked softly. Mika almost said 'No!' Then she saw the stubborn knot and nodded, 'Yes, please.' Her voice was small but brave.

Lila smiled. 'Stay very still.' She called, 'Friends, let's help Mika together!'

Elephant held the vine steady with her long trunk. Parrot nibbled the twisty leaves. Lila's gentle paws loosened the knot bit by bit.

At last Mika's tail popped free! She tumbled onto a soft pile of leaves. 'You're safe!' cheered the little rabbit. Mika sighed with relief.

She rubbed her tail. It felt sore but fine. 'Thank you, everyone,' Mika said, her heart warm like sunshine.

Lila sat beside her. 'Asking for help isn't embarrassing,' she said. 'It's brave!' Mika nodded, tail curling happily.

Mika thought hard. She always wanted to look clever and strong, yet even the fastest monkey can get tangled, and the smartest monkey sometimes needs friends.

Mika stood and swished her tail. 'Next time,' she giggled, 'I'll still swing, but maybe with a little less showing off!'

Everyone laughed. From then on, when Mika tried something big she remembered: be bold, forgive mistakes, and proudly say, 'Yes, please, I need help!'
