Milo the Little Cloud and the Day He Felt Upset

Page 2

High up in the sky lived a little cloud named Milo. Milo was soft and fluffy. He loved floating slowly in the blue sky.

He liked watching birds fly and trees sway. Milo liked to try new things all by himself.

One sunny day, Milo wanted to make rain. He looked at the big clouds. They made rain easily. 'I want to try too,' Milo said.

Milo pushed and stretched his cloudy body. But nothing happened. No rain fell.

Milo tried again. Still no rain. Milo’s cloud became a little dark. His body felt heavy. 'I don’t like this,' Milo whispered. 'I am trying, but it’s not working.' Milo felt UPSET.

Just then, a soft Wind came by. 'Hello, Milo,' said the Wind kindly. 'I see you are feeling upset.'

Milo nodded slowly. 'Yes,' he said. 'I wanted to make rain.'

The Wind smiled and said, “It’s okay to feel upset.” "Let’s help your body feel better.” The Wind showed Milo three easy steps: Big Breaths- Milo breathed in... and out... Say the Feeling -Milo said, 'I feel upset.' Wait a Little - Milo floated quietly.

Slowly, Milo felt lighter. His cloud became white again. He felt calm. After some time... drip... drop... Tiny raindrops fell. Milo smiled wide.

'I did it,' Milo said happily. The Wind whispered, 'You did your best, Milo.' Milo felt happy and proud. He floated gently in the sky, knowing that even when he feels upset, he can feel better again.
