One bright morning, the Moon shrank into a glowing ball and rolled into Class 1B. He learned, laughed, and made new friends. When the sky turned dark, the children helped him float home, waving good-bye.

One quiet night the Moon sighed. 'I shine from far away,' he said. 'I have never played tag, colored with crayons, or sat at a tiny desk. I wonder what happens inside a school.'

Just before dawn he made a plan. Pop! He shrank to beach-ball size and drifted through the clouds toward Earth, glowing like a night-light in the early pink sky.

He landed gently in Maple Hill Primary, right in Class 1B, between the puzzle shelf and the soft reading rug. No one was there yet. He waited, round and excited.

Morning came. The children gasped. 'Is it a shiny balloon?' asked Liam. 'Maybe a new lamp,' whispered Ava. The glowing ball smiled back at them.

'Hello! I'm the Moon,' he said with a gentle glow. 'May I stay today?' The children nodded so hard their hair bounced.

Ms. Juniper blinked twice but stayed calm. 'Rules still count,' she said. 'Raise your hand and be kind.' The Moon beamed. 'I will!'

In art class the Moon dotted himself with glitter glue and bright crayons. A googly eye stuck to his side. Everyone giggled, including the Moon!

During math he helped Henry draw number lines. 'Follow my orbit,' he laughed, tracing neat curves across the board like tiny moon paths.

At lunch the Moon listened to stories about pets and brothers. He did not eat, but he gobbled every word, shining a little brighter with each tale.

Music time! The Moon hummed a soft tune. The windows rang like bells and the desks tapped along. The class cheered—but the hallway looked strangely dark.

While the Moon was inside, the sky outside grew dim. Birds circled, owls woke early, and children everywhere felt sleepy too soon. The Moon felt worried.

Ms. Juniper knelt beside him. 'You're a wonderful guest,' she said, 'but the world needs your night-time light.' The Moon nodded sadly.

'May he visit again?' Ava asked. The class held their breath. The Moon gave a slow, silver nod that said, 'Yes, when it is safe.'

'Whenever I miss you, I will shine extra bright,' he promised. 'Look up each night and wave.' The children smiled through watery eyes.

That evening the Moon floated back to his place in the sky, big and bright. From their windows the children waved, and the Moon winked a glowing good-night.
