Abhidnya and Veer love playing in a tiny garden. Their story shows how nature and friendship shine like treasure all around us.

Every Saturday, best friends Abhidnya and Veer meet in her garden. There is a guava tree, bright marigolds, a stone path, and one quiet patch of soft soil.

One sunny day Veer ran in holding a little green spade. 'Let's dig a hole!' he cheered.

Page 4

Abhidnya blinked. 'Why dig?' Veer grinned. 'To find something amazing!'

Page 5

Abhidnya gasped. 'Maybe treasure!' 'Or a shiny crown,' Veer added. 'Or huge dino bones!'

They picked a spot by the guava tree. Dig, dig, dig went their spades, spraying brown crumbs of earth.

Soon Abhidnya uncovered a tiny blue button. 'It might be from a queen's dress,' she whispered. Veer laughed, 'Or a school shirt!'

They placed the button in a bowl. Clunk! Veer hit something hard. 'Treasure?' he yelled. It was only an old muddy spoon.

Next Abhidnya found a shiny green marble. While she admired it, a plump earthworm wriggled out. Veer hopped back with a squeak.

Abhidnya giggled. 'We broke its house.' They gently moved the worm to the soft soil near the marigolds.

Digging again, they found tiny stones, dry roots, and a broken bangle piece. A proud beetle marched away like a king.

But no chest of gold, no crown, no dinosaur bones appeared. Tired, Abhidnya sat under the guava tree and sighed.

'I hoped for something wonderful,' she said. They looked at their bowl: blue button, muddy spoon, green marble, broken bangle.

'We did find things,' Veer said. 'But not treasure,' Abhidnya sighed. Just then her mum called, 'Come have sweet guava slices!'

Page 15

On the path they spied a line of red ants carrying crumbs. One brave ant hauled a piece bigger than its head.

Page 16

Above them a yellow butterfly rested on a marigold, and a quick squirrel zipped along the wall with a guava leaf.

Sunshine made the green marble in Abhidnya's hand glow. She smiled, 'Maybe the garden was full of treasure already.'

Page 18

Veer nodded. 'We almost missed it because we kept looking underground.'

That evening Abhidnya set their finds on her windowsill. They were not gold, but each carried a happy memory.

The simple things reminded her of a day when she and Veer discovered the garden's hidden magic together.
